SOFABANK –
the variable living and seating landscape

Flexible and convenient

The modularly expandable SOFABANK from Rolf Heide offers a variable and comfortable living and seating landscape for the whole family. The design classic from 1972 is characterised in particular by the contrast between the hard box shape and casually folded soft upholstery.

The design classic from 1972 can be flexibly positioned in rows or as a corner solution in different variants to realise a wide variety of room solutions and individual living landscapes. And the SOFABANK also cuts a really fine figure as a two-seater.

FAQ

What does HPL and CPL mean?
CPL stands for Continuous Pressed Laminates. HPL stands for High Pressure Laminates (HPL with a thickness of > 2 mm are according to standard EN 438 compact panels).

What is special about the HPL coating on our black matte furniture?
Our HPL laminate impresses with its high abrasion, impact, and scratch resistance. It is ideal for horizontal as well as heavily used surfaces. The super matte surface feels velvety warm and is characterized by its excellent anti-fingerprint properties. This makes our HPL laminate unique and universally applicable.

Are there any special care instructions for our HPL coating?
The HPL coating does not require special care due to its resistant and hygienic, dense surface. The surface is generally easy to clean. It is important to note that sanitary cleaners or cleaning agents with abrasive components should not be used for cleaning, as such cleaners can cause changes in gloss level and scratches.

What distinguishes HPL and CPL?
The term CPL already provides a hint about the manufacturing process, meaning CPL is produced in continuously operating double belt presses with a pressing pressure between 30 and 70 bar and temperatures between 150°C and 170°C. Depending on the laminate thickness and press zone length, the feed rate varies between 8 and 15 m/min. HPL is produced in discontinuously operating multi-daylight presses with a pressing pressure between 50 and 90 bar and temperatures of > 120°C. Very often, the pressure in connection with the manufacturing process of laminates is also given in Mega-Pascals (MPa). The multi-daylight presses have between 10 and 20 levels, and each level accommodates approximately 8 laminate sheets with a nominal thickness of 0.50 to 0.80 mm. Depending on the press loading and the maximum temperature, the complete pressing cycle including cooling takes between 20 and 60 minutes.

Delivery through the retailer
Müller Möbelwerkstätten collaborates with a variety of furniture retailers. This allows us to have the furniture purchased from our online shop delivered to you through them. We send the furniture to the logistics center of the respective retailer, from where our competent partner takes over the processing of your order. They will contact you to arrange a delivery appointment and optional assembly booking.

1. Why is the goods not delivered directly to me?
In most cases, delivery through our retailer involves bulky goods that require increased logistical effort for delivery. If, for example, the order were delivered directly to you by a freight forwarder, this would correspond to delivery only to the curb. With our retailers, however, we have specially trained personnel who have been trained by us for the assembly and transportation of Müller Möbelwerkstätten furniture. Particularly noteworthy for the "delivery through our specialist retailer" service are:
Scheduled delivery according to desired date
Delivery behind the first lockable door

2. Are all furniture items delivered by the retailer?
No, in not all cases can we offer this service. This naturally depends on whether there is a retailer in close proximity. In addition, our small furniture items can regularly be shipped with a parcel service (GLS).

3. Assembly by our retail partner
Assembly can be booked separately at checkout in our online shop. The costs depend on the corresponding value of the goods. The option of assembly is, of course, not mandatory, but is recommended for selected furniture items due to their complexity. In addition to the actual assembly, this service offers further advantages:
Carrying upstairs to the apartment included
Subsequent disposal of packaging Furthermore, the service is recommended for selected furniture items due to their complexity, such as: Modular Plus wardrobe Plane wardrobe Flai wardrobe

Yes, in some countries (e.g., DE, AT, CH), we offer an assembly service. Click on "Premium Service" in the shopping cart, and your furniture will be assembled at your home by a specialist retailer for an additional fee.
